Modern bespoke solid wood kitchen with classic proportions in mahogany and white oak. Designed, crafted and hand-painted for new build extension on an existing residential house.

The kitchen has a simple in-frame construction with sharp edges and clean lines. Design details include a continuous stepped profile cornice moulding and radius corner pillars on all outside edges.
The doors are painted mahogany in a modern shaker style, flush fitted on stainless steel butt hinges, with brushed stainless steel handles and secret in-laid magnet catches.
The dovetailed drawer boxes are solid white oak on secret soft-close runners with brushed stainless steel handles, and painted mahogany drawer fronts in a modern shaker style.
Integrated LED lighting is built into the cabinet, larder and island plinths, and all mahogany woodwork has a hand-painted finish in client Farrow & Ball colours specified by client.
The built-in appliances include a Lieber fridge freezer, with bio-fresh compartment and integrated wine cooler. A Neff built-in single oven and a combination oven with slide & hide doors is also incorporated into the kitchen layout.
The worktops of the kitchen are a quartz silestone work surface with a square edge and rounded corners.
Above the hob is a solid mahogany hand-painted canopy, with scooped corbels to maximise work space around the cooking area.
The canopy has integrated lighting and a ducted extractor, an ornamental mantel shelf with smaller corbel supports, shaker panel details and a stepped profile cornice.
Either side of canopy are display cabinets, with glazed shaker style doors, glass adjustable shelves and integrated LED cabinet lighting.
The island acts as the main food preparation area with a large quartz silestone work surface. It features an under-mounted stainless steel sink, with brushed steel monoblock mixer tap, and a pop-up socket for small appliances.
A breakfast bar area is built into the island, for seating with high stools, and LED lighting is integrated into the plinth below.
At either end of the island are rounded storage cabinets with large curved doors. The doors are made from laminated mahogany in a modern shaker style, which open on stainless steel but hinges and have secure magnet catches to hold the doors in place.
The kitchen design has a large double door mahogany hand-painted larder with Itemised drawers, spice racks and adjustable shelves. The doors open on stainless steel but hinges, with secure magnet catches, and the larder features integrated LED lighting in the plinth.
In addition to the main kitchen area is a bespoke window seat made from engineered board with modern shaker styler detail on the front panels, and hand painted to match the rest of the kitchen.
The window seat doubles as additional storage, which can be accessed from above, under the cushioned seat pad.
